I was recently sent two very gorgeous smelling products from the Visionary Soap Company. I received a Geranium Rose Bath Melt and the Geranium Rose Soap.
Before I was sent the Geranium Rose Bath Melt I had never tried or heard of a bath melt and assumed it was similar to a bath bomb.
The Bath Melt smells incredible and that is not an exaggeration. I love the smell and feel of it in my hand. There are small parts of rose petals in the bath melt which makes it look and smell fantastic.
I popped the bath melt in my bath under warm running water as directed and when the bath was ready the melt had dissolved. Leaving a lovely smelling bath which also had small bits of rose petals floating in it making it look very luxurious.
The bath melt left my skin feeling soft and smelling gorgeous and I would definitely use it again. The only issue I had was it left a residue around the bath which was quite sticky and greasy. Next time I will use half in a bath and keep the other half for my next bath, a little bit goes a long way.
The Geranium Rose Bath Melt contains: Fairtrade certified shea butter from Ghana, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), citric acid, organic pink rose petals and organic geranium essential oil. Highly moisturising, each individual melt can be used for up to 2 baths. Coming in bags of 6, each bath melt is hand rolled and wrapped in waxed paper and individually labelled.
Bath Melts are priced at £9.95 for a bag of 6 and can be purchased at www.visionarysoap.co.uk
The next item I reviewed was the Geranium Rose Soap, I love the look and the smell of this soap. It has such a lovely strong rose fragrance, it's nice to have a natural smelling soap rather than one that smells of chemicals. The Soap is handmade and contains small pieces of rose petals which you can see in the soap. I love the natural look, it appeals to me a lot more than mass produced chemically enhanced soaps.
The Geranium Rose Soap contains: Fairtrade certified coconut oil from India, Fairtrade certified olive oil from Palestine, sunflower oil, pure water, sodium hydroxide, Fairtrade certified cocoa butter from The Dominican Republic, geranium essential oil and pink rose petals. This variety of soap also contains 60% Fairtrade certified ingredients (when the minimum requirement for certification is 2%)!
It is available to buy from the Visionary Soap Website www.visionarysoap.co.uk priced at £3.69 a bar.
After sampling the products Visionary Soap Company has to offer I have to say I am very impressed. Visionary Soap is a company that is working to empower communities through fair trade which is fantastic! They really care about the people behind the products and sadly this is something we do not see enough of but hopefully with Visionary Soap leading the way other companies will follow suit.
