Aldi’s Mamia Baby Wipes beat off competition from Johnsons, Pampers, Sainsbury’s and Tesco to take the Gold award in the Mother and Baby Awards 2012.
The awards were based on feedback from real mum product reviewers and Mother and Baby readers who judged the wipes value for money, quality, user friendliness and overall product excellence.
The wipes are priced at 79p for a packet of 80, this is compared to a packet of 56 Pampers sensitive wipes which retail at £1.23 in Tesco stores. That is a big saving when you consider how many baby wipes you use each day.
Having a baby means you use a lot of baby wipes and not just for cleaning bums either, we use them for cleaning hands, faces, wiping up crumbs, the list goes on. It’s incredible just how many you can get through in a day.
If you think you won’t need baby wipes when your baby is out of nappies you’ll find they will still come in extremely handy and it’s a good idea to always have a packet nearby!
The packaging is bright and clear. It has all of the usual details you would expect to find… Ingredients directions for use, product information etc. It also has the plastic opening which I finds stops the wipes drying out.
The wipes are easy to come out of the packet, they are of a good thickness and when pulled they stretch rather than tear which is a big plus. The sensitive wipes although fragrance free have a nice clean fresh smell.
They are moist and are perfect for cleaning a multitude of things. We have used them to wipe Maxx’s bottom, clean his face and hands and have also used them to remove make up. In my opinion the Mamia Sensitive Baby Wipes are as good a quality as many well known brands and for less than 1p a wipe they are fantastic value for money. I would highly recommend the Mamia wipes to anyone who has young children, they get a huge thumbs up from us!
Mamia Baby Wipes are available in fragranced and sensitive, you can purchase Mamia Baby Wipes in Aldi stores nationwide all year round.
