Did you know there are only 78 more sleeps until Christmas? When did that happen…!?
It seems to have come around so fast this year. I love Christmas so I’m not complaining, I even love the build up to Christmas. It’s an exciting time of year especially if there are young children in the family and there’s always so much going on.
This year there are quite a few things I want to try to do and see in the run up to Christmas to really get into the spirit of things and enjoy the festive season. Some of the things I want to do are:
- Visiting Winter Wonderland in London
- Going to a Christmas market
- Enjoying some Christmas Food
- Decorating the home for Christmas
- Watching the lights being switched on
- Going ice skating outdoors
- Taking my nephew sledging
- Watching a pantomime show
I’m really looking forward to going to a Christmas market, I have been to a couple before and they are always really enjoyable. There’s usually a great atmosphere, lots of unique gifts and a lot of delicious food to try!
Hitting the shops is something else I’m looking forward to this Christmas and I’m hoping to make a day of it with the Christmas market, shopping and perhaps an evening meal. I have a notebook with a list of who I have to buy for and a couple of gift ideas for each person. Hopefully this will help me be organised and shopping will be enjoyable rather than stressful.
I will be picking up a couple of presents online as some items are cheaper online than in store. I haven’t bought anything online yet in case there’s a sale closer to Christmas so the items are all bookmarked in a folder. So far I have bookmarked some George Pragnell watches for my dad to look at, some perfume for my sisters and mum, a couple of gadget items for my brother and toys for my nephews and niece.
I’m not sure you can ever be too prepared and since I’m usually unprepared this should make Christmas as stress free as possible. I’d much rather enjoy the Christmas season and all the things it has to offer than be stressed because I’m unorganized.
How do you get into the Christmas Spirit?
