My Dry Skin Saviour – E45 Review and Competition

I have used E45 products on and off for as long as I can remember. If I have dry or irritated skin it’s one of the first products that comes to mind. E45 has been around for over 60 years now, it’s hard to believe that the company started out with one product – E45 cream in 1952 and has since grown into the company we know today.

E45 now offers a fantastic range of products that cater for all ages and skin types. As well as products that help with dry skin E45 products are widely used to help relieve eczema symptoms, psoriasis, contact dermatitis and other common skin complaints.

Winter is on the way which means turning the central heating on, windy days and low humidity, all of these things can strip skin of it’s natural moisture resulting in dry irritated skin. Until earlier this year my skin had always been pretty low maintenance, however over the last 6 months it has been really dry and sensitive. I know if I don’t do something soon things will only get worse, especially with Winter on the way.

I have a selection of skin care products which I use (when I remember), however I was recently sent two items from the E45 range that I was eager to try. I was sent the E45 moisturising lotion and the intense recovery lotion, I decided to use the Intense Recovery lotion as I had a few really dry patches so decided to opt for the most intense product first.

The Intense Recovery Lotion is described as an everyday lotion that helps restore skin’s moisture and restore smooth skin in just 2 weeks. It is perfume free, hypo-allergenic and suitable for very dry skin.

I have been using the intense recovery lotion for just over 2 weeks now and my skin has improved a lot, I have been using the lotion first thing in the morning and last thing at night and most of the irritating dry patches have now gone. The lotion is non-greasy and absorbs almost instantly. My skin isn’t perfect but that’s okay, I’m happy as long as it isn’t dry and irritated. I will continue to use the lotion throughout the winter and hopefully it will keep dry irritated skin at bay.

I plan to use the Moisturising  Lotion during the Spring and Summer months when my skin doesn’t need quite as much help. The Moisturising Lotion is light, unperfumed and can be used on the body, face and hands to care for dry and sensitive skin. It is perfect for everyday use to help keep skin soft, supple and moisturised. As with the Intense Recovery Lotion the Moisturising Lotion absorbs almost instantly, is non-greasy and doesn’t leave any residue on the skin.

If you’re worried about dry skin I have the perfect competition for you below! The competition is easy to enter, follow the instructions on the rafflecopter form below. At the end of the competition period 3 winners will be randomly chosen by rafflecopter, each winner will receive one E45 moisturising lotion and one E45 repair and protect overnight hand cream. Definitely skin essentials this winter!
