Spring Garden Wishlist - Lindy Loves

Now the weather is starting to change for the better I have been looking at the garden and thinking about what I need to do to get it into shape for Spring/Summer. It’s overdue a trim, there are a couple of plants that need to be cut back and I will be out and about next month planting some flowers to make it look cheerful. I also want to buy a few items for the garden this year, so I can really make the most of it. I love nothing more than sitting in the garden listening to the radio or sitting outside blogging whilst enjoying the sometimes glorious British weather. After browsing online for garden items I decided to put together a wishlist of items I would love for the garden this year, there’s a good mixture of items and it might give you some inspiration if you’re looking to revamp your garden this Spring.

At the top of my wishlist is a lounger. Who doesn’t love lounging in the garden when the weather’s nice. I almost bought one last year, but changed my mind at the last minute and have been kicking myself ever since. I found an absolutely gorgeous lounger from Chessington Garden Centre – it isn’t cheap, but it is gorgeous!

An item I have wanted for a few years now but haven’t got around to purchasing is a fire pit or chimenea. I love the thought of cool Spring evenings spent in the garden with the fire keeping me warm, there’s something so relaxing and peaceful about it. I decide to include a chimenea rather than a fire pit in the list because I love the design on the chimenea and the fact it doubles up as a BBQ. Imagine a cool, but gorgeous Spring evening spent in the garden with family & friends, the chimenea burning in the background and an authentic pizza cooking on top – bliss!

Have you noticed there’s a huge range of garden accessories available now? Accessories are no longer confined to the inside of the home and I love it! There are some gorgeous accessories available for Spring, it was hard to restrict myself to just a few. The first item I fell in love with was the lovely bee cushion which would be perfect for some added comfort on the lounger and the bee motif is very cute. Plus, at only £8 it’s a bargain! Other accessories I added to the wishlist were a lovely doormat and a flower tray which could also double up as a breakfast tray, breakfast in the garden is always a good way to start to the day.

Living in the UK means we are all used to the good old British Summer! As soon as there’s a little bit of sunshine you can find us all breaking out the picnic blankets and flocking to the beach. It’s also why I like making the most of the nice weather and enjoying the garden late into the night. That’s where the string lights come into play, not only do they look great, they will let me enjoy the garden well into the evening.

The next item from my wishlist relates to something I’m passionate about which is animals. I want to give nature a helping hand and the little Inset & Bee House would be perfect for this. There’s also a butterfly feeding stations, bird houses and ladybird houses amongst others. I will be looking to get a couple of these to put in the garden this year because I think it’s important we all do our part to help.

After adding all of the above, I think the garden would be somewhere I would absolutely love. The only thing left to do would be add a little colour. I will be planting flowers next month for Spring and have a few small pots waiting to be filled, but I would like to get a couple of larger pots and perhaps a few vintage style flower crates. I have seen some lovely crates on Instagram and Pinterest, I love how rustic they look and they would fit into the garden like a dream. I managed to find a great selection online at Suttons Seeds, they would look fantastic with a few flowers in them. You can even personalise them which I thought was a nice touch.

So, that’s what I’m loving this Spring! I’m hoping to tick a few items off the list this year and enjoy the garden as much as possible. I would love to know what’s at the top of your Spring Garden Wishlist?
