Book Review

Sylvester and the New Year‏

We were recently sent this lovely book to review – Sylvester and the New Year.
Inspired by a tale told by German poet Eduard Mörike over one hundred years ago, this story takes the reader on a magical journey as Sylvester travels by mystical moon horses to Earth, delivering the New Year and returning the Old Year back to be rejuvenated by the River of Life.

Maxx has a bedtime story every night and we must have read all of his books at least two times each, so when this lovely book arrived Maxx wanted to read it straight away. The first thing that caught my attention was the lovely illustrations by Emmeline Pidgen. The pictures are lovely and Maxx enjoyed looking at them all.
The books is very well written and beautifully illustrated, priced at £6.99 it would make a great stocking filler for any young book lover.
