#VERYMETHISCHRISTMAS

DONE

It’s hard to believe Christmas is less than two weeks away now, it seems to have come around so fast this year. I love getting into the Christmas spirit, so when I was recently asked to take part in a fun festive campaign called #VeryMeThisChristmas I jumped at the chance. The campaign is being run by Redrow and the brief was to take a flatlay 3D photograph of things that reflect me and my home at Christmas. I love photography and Christmas so had a great time putting together my moodboard. Below you can find more details about the items I chose to include and why.

Christmas tree, Stocking and Decorations

I love decorating the Christmas tree, adding the baubles I bought from previous years, some that hold a lot of sentimental value such as the Santa on top of the tree that belonged to my gran. This year I have a bit of a mixture colour wise with bronze, white and gold but it really works and looks great. I like being creative so this is something I enjoy doing, although it can be frustrating when it just doesn’t look ‘right’, or when the cat chews through the new Christmas lights after only two days (she chewed through two pairs last year!).

Christmas jumper

Peer pressure got me and I bought my first Christmas jumper last year, in fact I bought three but lets not talk about that. It was a part of Christmas that used to pass me by but now I love wearing a festive jumper. If you can’t beat them join them right?!

Fairy lights

Who doesn’t love the twinkle of fairy lights at Christmas. I’m not just talking about on the tree either, I’m talking in vases, wrapped around the headboard, anywhere you can hang them really. The more the merrier, my house is a shining beacon.

Festive Cookie Cutters

In the run up to Christmas I love baking festive treats for everyone to enjoy. There are so many delicious Christmassy flavours that it’s just such a great time of year to bake and get creative in the kitchen.

Scented Candles

There’s nothing better than stepping through the door and being met with a gorgeous Christmas scent. There are so many different Christmassy scents available and the range grows every year. This year I’m loving my Yankee candle Candy Cane Lane but I tend to mix it up and burn different scents every day or so.

Hot Chocolate Supplies

Snuggled up on the sofa with a duvet, hot chocolate, a Christmas film and a flickering candle is my idea of the perfect night in or lazy Sunday afternoon.

Winter Skincare Essentials

I hate to admit it but it’s only recently that I have started taking proper care of my skin.  I often get dry skin during the Winter months so this Christmas skincare is high up on my list of priorities. The three items pictures are a few of my essentials for keeping my skin looking and feeling good this Winter.

Now for some exiting news! Redrow are running a fantastic competition where they would like you to share a 3D mood board that reflects you and your home this Christmas. The prize is an amazing Β£1000 worth of Notonthehighstreet.com vouchers, so why not snap a photo of all the things you’re loving this Christmas and you could be in with a chance of winning. Once you have your 3D mood board simply share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hash tag #VeryMeThisChristmas. If you want to see what Christmas means to others who have entered or need some inspiration why not take a look at the #VeryMeThisChristmas hashtag on twitter.

What would be in your #VerymethisChristmas photo?
