5 Items I will be adding to my wardrobe this autumn

Now that the weather is changing I’m starting to swap summer clothes for warm woolly knits and honestly, I’m ready for the change. I’m actually looking forward to wrapping up warm again and even adding a few new items to my autumn wardrobe. After losing weight this year I’m in need of a few new items so I thought I would share some of the items I plan to add to my autumn wardrobe soon.

I have recently been helping my sister move house which means I haven’t had time to venture into town and do some shopping but I have been browsing and bookmarking a lot of lovely items. I have also been looking at Catalogues247 where I found a lot of great catalogues and some really lovely items of clothes, I’m especially loving the knitwear range from La Redoute.

So, what items will I be adding to my wardrobe this year?

A puffer jacket

Definitely a throwback to the 90’s here but I missed many of the lovely puffer jackets which were available last year and I was determined not to miss out this winter. I have seen a gorgeous blush pink jacket online which I fell in love with, it has large pockets which is always good and looks really cosy, the only downside is it doesn’t have a hood but I’m all about compromise!

Wool-lined boots

I live in boots most of the year but I especially love a cosy pair of wool-lined boots during the colder months. I have a pair of UGG boots which could do with being replaced but I’m torn between getting a new pair of UGGs or trying a new brand/style.

An oversized scarf

There’s nothing quite like wrapping up in a stylish oversized scarf when the mornings are crisp and dark. I wouldn’t be without a large scarf, not only does it help keep me warm but they’re a great fashion accessory too! I have a large tartan scarf and a black & white chequered scarf currently but I plan to purchase a new scarf which will match my pink puffer jacket.

Jeans

I’m actually not sure when the last time I wore something other than jeans was but I find them comfortable and really versatile too – why change a good thing?! I find jeans to be a great option during the winter months, they keep me warm, dry and comfortable so I can’t ask for much more. I’m in need of a couple of new pairs of jeans thanks to losing weight and accidentally wearing a pair or two when I was decorating. I normally opt for ripped skinny jeans but I’m thinking more along the lines of high waisted acid-washed denim jeans for the coming months. Who wants a hole in their jeans when it’s raining or snowing?!

Knitwear

Knitwear has to be one of my favourite things about the autumn/winter months, aside from Halloween and Christmas that is! I love wearing a cosy jumper when it’s chilly outside, they’re perfect for the still sunny autumnal days we’re having at the moment where we don’t need a jacket yet. As with jeans I’m in need of a couple of new jumpers, I have found a few I like online but will be heading to town to try them on before purchasing them to ensure they fit. This year I’m really loving oversized knitwear, they just look so comforting and cosy for the coming months.

What are you adding to your autumn wardrobe this year?
