Baby Olive, Snowy Sundays and Blog Dilemmas #LittleLoves

Holding a sleeping newborn baby

A big cheery hello from an almost thawed out Swindon. I joined in the Little Loves Linky once upon a time and have decided to join in again, It’s something I enjoyed and a great way to cover a few topics in one post. I will be joining in monthly rather than weekly but I can’t wait to get involved, so without further ado…

This year I have set myself the goal of making sure my blog is set up properly and everything is as it should be. When I started blogging I knew nothing about the ins and outs of it, nothing about SEO, alt tags or proper blogging practices and I have decided now is the time to go through my blog and update it.

Unfortunately, this means trawling through over 1000 blog posts and updating each one which is going to take a substantial amount of time but I think the results will be worth it in the end. This takes me to what I have been reading over the last week and that’s a lot of blogging tips and tricks. I have learnt so much over the last few days and I’m glad I started this process, I’m not going to lie though, I can’t wait until I have finished updating everything.

I tend to watch a real mix of things from real life documentaries to Eastenders, Hollyoaks and other soaps. I also enjoy watching movies here and there with my favourite genre being horror, although I manage to creep myself out on more than one occasion with this.

TV wise I have been loving The Disappearance, it’s about a little boy who goes missing while on a birthday treasure hunt, there are a lot of twists, turns and surprises and I’m gripped. The last episode airs next week and I can’t wait to find out what happens.

Movie wise, there hasn’t been much to shout about. I watched Open House and would NOT recommend that. It’s one of those where you watch it all and the ending leaves you annoyed and feeling like you wasted the last hour and a half of your life.

This might be a little bit of a cheat but recently I heard what my brand new little nieces name is, Olive. She is so adorable and so so tiny! I now have two nephews and two nieces <3

If you have a new addition to the family or you’re looking for a lovely gift and keepsake for a young child then take a look at these Personalised Teddy Bears from Personally Presented. There’s a lovely range available including some teddies wearing personalised t-shirts or presented in a lovely personalised tin to keep and cherish.

Slimming World Creme Egg Cheesecake

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t find following Slimming World the easiest thing, I miss certain foods and I struggle with willpower but I’m trying. Something I have missed is cheesecake – Yum! With Easter fast approaching I decided to try and make some Slimming World friendly Creme Egg Cheesecakes. They were lovely and although I think next time I will change the recipe a bit, they were really nice and helped me with the cheesecake craving.

I have also been looking at making custom t-shirts for an upcoming holiday. I think a holiday-themed t-shirt would be great. If we head back to Disneyland I would love to create a t-shirt with names and the year on them. It’s actually pretty common to see customised t-shirts and hoodies at Disneyland and why not?! Cheesy? Perhaps, but I’m not opposed to a bit of cheese every now and again!

Since it’s still absolutely freezing outside, I have been keeping warm and wearing layers when I’m out and about. I’m still sticking to jeans because why change a good thing but I have switched out my short t-shirts for long t-shirts and I have been loving my cosy woollen jumpers. Thanks to the super long and cold winter I’m actually in need of a few more jumpers so I will be hitting the shops to find a few soon, I have also been browsing the jumper selection at David Nieper knitwear and have my eye on the Cool Cotton Sweater. I love the super cute daisy design and the short sleeves make it great for the spring and summer months.

There’s not much more to say really. I’m going to be busy for the next month or so overhauling my blog and the mere thought of it fills me with dread but it has been a long time coming and I know it will be worth it when it’s done.

I’m hoping to start decorating again soon, I just need to stop being indecisive and choose colours etc.

What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl ❤ And those cheesecakes look incredible! I know what you mean about going through the blog archives. I need to find some time to fix broken links to improve my DA.

Congratulations on becoming an auntie again! I so need to go back over all my old blog posts and I kind of fancy a new theme (yet again) and a name change, but I’m putting it off as it’s a ridiculous amount of work to go back over almost 10 years of blog posts. Those cheesecakes look amazing! I’m on slimming world too, you definitely need to write up that recipe, they’d go crazy for it at my group! Have a good week! #littleloves
