Whether you’re a smoker, non-smoker or ex-smoker I’m sure you have heard of vaping and e-cigarettes. They have received a lot of coverage in the press recently with health care professionals and scientists debating whether they are safer than cigarettes.
Over the coming years a lot of studying will be conducted on the subject so we can learn more about the effects of vaping compared to smoking cigarettes, but one thing that’s clear is their use when it comes to giving up smoking. In fact, e-cigarettes have helped an estimated 20 thousand people quit smoking in 2014.
I know a few people who have switched from smoking cigarettes to e-cigarettes in an effort to give up smoking. The main draws are the fact they are aiding people to give up smoking, helping people save money and are less harmful than smoking tobacco. The Department of Health estimates that vaping is 95% less harmful than smoking cigarettes.
