Today I am taking part in the #Blogging4Madeleine Campaign which was started by AMummysView and Tea and Biscotti.
Today is Madeleine McCann’s 10th birthday. A birthday which she should be celebrating with her parents and brother and sister.
Sadly Madeleine is still missing after being abducted whilst on a family holiday. Madeleine was taken from the family’s holiday apartment in Praia Da Luz, Portugal on Thursday 3rd May 2007 whilst she slept. She was days away from her 4th birthday.
Despite a huge presence in the media and extensive international searches Madeleine has never been found. Madeleine’s parents Gerry and Kate have never given up hope of finding her.
Sadly Madeleine’s disappearance isn’t an isolated incident, thousands of children are currently missing after being abducted. The story in the newspapers this week of 3 woman from Cleveland, Ohio being found after 10 years gives hope to all those who have relatives and friends who are currently missing in the UK and abroad. Never give up hope.
