A weekend spent at home is sometimes just what we need after a long week but the thought of evenings spent indoors can seem dull and boring, but it doesn’t have to be. There are fun activities and ways you can enjoy a night spent at home that’s still filled with fun.
A games night
Why not bring out the classics and have a marathon game session, Monopoly, Scrabble and not forgetting everyone’s favourite party game – Twister! You could enjoy an evening of online gaming if you have a games console, or why not give something new a try like New Look Bingo. If you’re not up to date with bingo lingo then head over to Boomtown Bingo where you can learn the latest bingo lingo to get you started. The great thing about a games night is you can have a family games night, a couples games night or a girls games night and you can find games to suit the number of people and ages etc.
A pamper evening
This is one of my favourite ways to spend an evening at home. Why not pick a selection of your favourite pampering products, face mask, hair mask, etc. Run a bath, light a candle, pick out your favourite book and have a well earned relaxing evening at home. Sometimes it’s not until after we’ve had a relaxing evening that we realise how much we needed it and it can do the world of good after a stressful week.
A movie night
Whether you’re into romance, horror or thrillers, why not pick out some classics or some new movies to binge watch. Grab a few movie night essentials such as a blanket, popcorn, chocolate and sit back, relax and enjoy the movies. If you’re not into movies then why not find a new TV series to binge watch? I can highly recommend Switched at Birth, Finding Carter and The Night Of.
A taster evening
This is perfect if you like to cook or bake. Why not enjoy an evening of creating some culinary masterpieces in the kitchen and the invite family or friends over to enjoy your handy work with a cup of tea (or something stronger) and a good old natter.
Perhaps not a relaxing night in but certainly a productive one. Why not get creative and revamp that old chest of drawers you’ve been meaning to paint for ages or freshen up your room with a lick of paint. You’ve heard of paint parties, right?! Why not invite a few friends over to help with the promise of a tasty takeaway afterward.
