Ikea Annual Soft Toy Campaign

Did you know that for every soft toy, book or children’s meal sold from October the 21st through to December the 23rd 2012 the IKEA Foundation will donate €1 to UNICEF and Save the Children, to support worldwide education programs. This yearly campaign has so far raised a total of €47.4 million since 2003 and has helped improve the lives of more than eight million vulnerable children.
Last year’s loveable bear BJORN joins us again this year with lots of new friends. Ikea has brought to life animals from the woodland and circus animals in their new KLAPPAR CIRKUS and VANDRING range. The soft toys make fantastic Christmas presents and not only will you have a very happy child receiving the toy you will also be making a personal contribution to this years Soft Toy Campaign. The soft toys start from £1.
The inspiration for this years KLAPPAR CIRKUS range was taken from the characters you find in the circus. The range allows your child to become the ringmaster of the circus using finger puppet people to weight lifting lions, great fun for Christmas day performances.
The range also encourages role play, this helps children develop important social skills for later in life. The puppet theatre and fancy dress hats encourage little ones to take to the stage for hours of fun.
The fantastic VANDRING range has been designed to encourage children to take an interest in nature and teach them to care about the environment.
The animals in the VANDRING range are brought to life in the new book – The Hedgehog Leaves Home which teaches children about the importance of wildlife habitats.
