Introducing Monstrous Festival – an Exciting Family Festival Hitting London this July

The summer holidays are fast approaching and if you’re currently planning days out and activities to enjoy over the summer then I’m here to tell you about a must-attend event for the whole family!

Let me introduce you to Monstrous Festival, a brand new family festival for 2018 which is hitting London this summer. The festival is taking place on the 29th of July at London’s famous Printworks, it’s a great way to kick off the summer holidays in style.

When I heard about Monstrous festival I knew straight away it was something that my two young nephews would enjoy, there’s so much for them to do and enjoy with 12 fantasy zones to explore. The zones include:

Arcade Alley

This zone is sure to be a huge hit with gamers who can enjoy some brilliant games such as MineCraft, Roblox, Pokemon, Fortnite Battle Royale, Retro Arcade Machines, Pacman, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. There will also be some fun competitions so get your gaming fingers at the ready.

Hello Kitty Club

Everyone is invited to the Hello Kitty Club where imagination is your only limit. In this club, everyone is encouraged to be whoever they want to be whether that’s a pirate, a princess or an astronaut – the skies the limits.

Superfunk Roller Disco

Grab your skates and hit the rink at this fun roller disco zone. Whether you can whizz around the rink without help or you need a lesson from one of the coaches who are on hand to help, this zone is great fun for all ages. Wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads and helmets will be available.

Monstorus Glitter and Face Painting Studio

Get festival ready in this colourful and sparkly zone where children can have their face painted like their favourite superhero or add some sparkle to their day with glitter face paint.

Chelsea FC Foundation Zone

Football mad girls and boys will love this zone where they can take part in a soccer school hosted by Chelsea FC Foundation. Enjoy fun speed tests, ball skills, penalty shootouts and much more.

Princess, Prince and Unicorn Land

Little prince’s and princesses can explore a magical kingdom at Monstrous Festival this summer where they can take a selfie with a real unicorn (the national animal of Scotland in case you didn’t know!), see Disney princess characters and even dress up as their favourite character. There will also be prince and princess shows to dance and sing along to, karaoke booths to sign your heart out and why not take a few fun photos in the photo booth.

Monty’s Monstrous Disco

Get your groove on at Monty’s Monstrous Disco where the whole family can enjoy a boogie. The disco zone will play host to some of the UK’s top DJ’s as well as Monty playing a set or two. As well as great music, Monty’s Disco zone includes a mega bubble machine which can create 6000 bubbles per minute, you will also find balloons, confetti and lasers. Everything you need to get moving and grooving on the dance floor.

Arts and Crafts

This zone is hosted by Creation Station, who want to welcome along children and families to enjoy some arts and crafts. Unleash your inner artist by creating your very own masterpiece whether that be a collage, puppet or drawing, get creative and have fun with Monty.

Inflatable World

Show me a child who doesn’t like jumping on inflatables and this isn’t just any old inflatable.. oh no!! This is the worlds biggest inflatable obstacle course! This is the perfect way for little ones to burn off some energy with over 30 different and fun obstacles to tackle along the way, the whole family can enjoy a bounce.

Circus School

If you want to clown around then head over to Circus School where you can learn some classic circus skills which include Diablo, Hula-Hoop, Juggling and much more. The circus school will be led by experienced performers who have appeared on Blue Peter, CBBC and have been described by Derren Brown as ‘beyond awesome’.

The Big Outdoors

With a fun arts and craft workshops, an Urban Beach and a Petting Zoo, The Big outdoors is an exciting zone to visit and explore. Enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while surrounded by a variety of farm animals, you can even have the opportunity to feed some of the animals. Meet Pete the Rabbit, Larry the Lamb, Maggie the chicken, Milkey the Pygmy Goat, Susie & Wendy the Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pigs, Magic the Pony and Zippy the Llama plus lots more.

Baby Garden

From tiny tots to age 4 the baby garden is the place to be. This area has been created just for those aged 4 and under to relax and enjoy. The area has a soft play area with ball pits, musical instruments to play with and little ones can enjoy live nursery rhyme inspired music.

There are two ticket options for Monstrous Festival, a morning session 9am-1:30pm and an afternoon session 2:30pm-7pm. Tickets are priced at £28.50 each with babes in arms attending free. Your ticket price includes enjoying all of the activities inside the festival as many times as you want, the only things you will have to pay for is your food, drink, lockers and any merchandise you buy.

If you want to head to Monstrous Festival this summer and who can blame you, there are a few things worth noting. Each session is 4.5 hours long and it’s advised that you arrive 30 minutes before your session starts. Only baby food and milk are permitted to be brought inside, food and drinks can be purchased inside the festival where there will be a lot of delicious street food available to enjoy.

Inside you will be able to take advantage of lockers, buggy storage and cloakrooms. Children should wear comfortable clothes and shoes, flipflops and loose shoes may mean your child is refused access to certain rides and areas for safety reasons.
