It’s no secret that I love Halloween. I might be a little OTT when it comes to everything Halloween, and whether it be a new prop, Halloween scented candle or fragrance, spooky games or other ghostly goodies I just can’t get enough of them and love adding to my ever growing collection.

This year there are a lot of great Halloween items around, but not just props or costumes. There’s so much more available, including the items I have listed below which includes some of my favourite items for Halloween 2016. There are quite a few items I’m loving, some are even making an appearance for the second year in a row.

Yankee Candle

Candles and Halloween go hand in hand, and there aren’t many better brands than Yankee Candle. This year, I’m pleased to say that the Halloween range available in the UK has definitely grown from last year, although I would love to have the same extensive range that’s available in the US – we’re definitely closing the gap. We can now choose from a range of fantastic Halloween themed accessories, including cat clingers, cute tea light/votive/jar holders and of course there’s a great selection of Halloween themed candles too. This year I have the lovely Witches Brew candle which I put on my Yankee Spider Jar Holder which I bought last year. The Witches Brew candle looks great on the stand and smells great too. The scent fills the whole room really quickly, even when it isn’t lit.  It’s a great addition to any Halloween collection.

The Library Of Fragrance – Pumpkin Pie

If you want to capture the scent of Autumn and Halloween then this lovely Pumpkin Pie fragrance is amazing! The smell is everything that is autumn and Halloween, pumpkins, sugar, cinnamon, ginger and cloves – Halloween in a bottle. Pumpkin Pie can be worn, sprayed around the home or you can even layer it with another The Library Of Fragrance scent to create a fragrance which is unique to you. I love spraying this around my house and wearing it too, it’s so uplifting and refreshing, what’s not to love.

Now you can’t have Halloween without chocolate, and one brand that always sticks out to me at Halloween is Cadbury. Each year I pick up a bag or two of the snack size chocolates to give out to any trick-or-treaters.  I might also be partial to the odd Ghost Egg! This year the evil phantoms stole the yolk from inside the egg, the cheeky devils they are! As well as the handy snack bags, and tasty Ghost Eggs there are other tasty Halloween themed treats on offer from Cadbury, including some creepy but delicious spiders. Mmm – delicious!

If you carve pumpkins at Halloween then chances are you know the difficulty of trying to put a tea light into the pumpkin without burning yourself – tricky, isn’t it! That’s why I had to add the amazing tea lights from LED Hut, they offer the perfect alternative to the traditional tea light. They’re such a great idea, no more risk of burning yourself, and you don’t have to worry about children going near the pumpkins. They also give the same flicker a real candle would for that authentic Halloween feel. These have been a revelation, and I have told everyone who will listen about them.

Hallmark – Itty Bittys

If you’re looking for cute and cuddly this Halloween then you’ll want to get your hands on these cute, but spooky characters from Hallmark’s Itty Bittys range. You could pick up Glinda the Good Witch, or the Wicked Witch who are both part of the Wizard of Oz range! These Itty Bitty versions of characters we love are sure to put a smile on any little or big kids face this Halloween. There’s a huge range available, including Super Heroes, Star Wars characters, and even some seriously cute Disney characters!

The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home

Not all little ones like going out trick-or-treating. If your little one isn’t keen on heading outside this Halloween, but you want to give them a little treat that isn’t chocolate, then this personalised book from Lost My Name would be a lovely idea. The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home follows your little one and a very friendly alien named Hubble. Not wanting to go to bed the little one (your little one in the story) and Hubble head off on a great adventure through space, unfortunately things don’t quite go to plan and they get lost. Thankfully they meet some very helpful characters who can direct them back home. The book includes personal details that children can relate to, such as their name and address, it also shows a photo of a local landmark and map of their home to really make it feel like they went on a space adventure with Hubble. This is a great gift, and one that my nephew loved.

Tarantula Tango

If you like games, card games to be precise then take a look at Tarantula Tango. It’s a fun, fast-paced game aimed at ages 7+ and would make a great party game for older children or adults. The game usually lasts around 15-20 minutes, this depends on how many players there are, the more players the longer the game-play will be. The winner is the player who gets rid of all of their cards first, but don’t get caught out by the terrifying tarantula! My nephew and I had a great time playing this game, there were lots of laughs.

If you’re looking for a few Halloween decorations that won’t break the bank then why not take a look at the products Tiger has to offer this Halloween. You can choose from a lot of great decorations, partyware and fun Halloween themed items, all available at really reasonable prices. I loved the lanterns (pictured), they look great when they’re lit up and I love the cute designs too.

Command 3M

One thing I don’t love so much about Halloween is hanging up the decorations. The amount of sellotape that’s needed, losing the end constantly and items falling down because the sellotape isn’t strong enough to hold them, are all really annoying Halloween related problems.  Thankfully, that’s now a thing of the past! This year I was introduced to Command 3M products and WOW, they have made a huge difference to how easy it is to hang up all of my Halloween decorations. The best thing about the products is the fact they don’t remove the paint from the wall like sellotape can. You can easily and safely remove the Command products after use which makes them perfect if you live in a rented property. I have used the hooks to hang up plaques and other Halloween props and they have been faultless, I’m converted and just wish I had known about them sooner.
