Christmas Feature 2013

Personalising a room with Kids Wall Stickers

I love customising a room especially for children, I think it’s lovely if they have somewhere they feel comfortable and that is unique to them. Living in rented accommodation means it’s not always possible to personalise a room as much as you want, however I recently found a way around this when I was contacted by Kids Wall Stickers.

When I was asked if I would like to review some wall stickers I jumped at the chance. I had a look at the stickers that are available (there is a fantastic range) and decided on the Glow in the Dark Wall Stickers. The stickers are space themed and contain stars, moons and planets of varying sizes. I chose the glow in the dark stickers as Maxx isn’t keen on the dark so I thought it would be nice to brighten up the room when it’s dark and give him something nice to look at.

Ashley, Maxx and I put the stickers on the 2 corners of his room directly next to his bed so it will create light and be easy for him to look at when he’s lying in his bed. The stickers come on 4 separate sheets, they were easy to peel off and place on the wall, they also peel off and re-stick really easily if you decide you want to place the sticker somewhere else.  It took us around an hour in total to place all of the stickers on the wall, an hour very well spent in my opinion.

We were all really excited when we had finished and couldn’t wait to turn the light off and see how it looked. I was a bit sceptical that they might not glow a lot but let me tell you it looks AMAZING! We were all shocked at just how amazing the stickers look and how brightly they glow, it honestly looks like you’re in space when the light is off, truly amazing. I wasn’t able to capture the room glowing (down to my not so great camera I think) so have put an image below from the website to show you. I will keep trying and if I do manage to capture them glowing I will update the post as it looks amazing.

Maxx absolutely loves his room and the great thing about the stickers is they just peel off and won’t damage the wall so there’s no need to re-decorate. As he gets older and the things he likes changes you can simply peel off the stickers and replace them with different ones.

If you have a little princess there are also Glow in the Dark Butterflies and Dragonflies. The Glow in the dark Stars and Moons stickers and Butterflies and Dragonflies are priced at £15.95 each.

If you’re stuck for a present to buy this Christmas it’s definitely worth having a look at the Kids Wall Stickers website as there is a huge range of products available ranging from small stickers, to height charts, to full wall coverings and they are available at great prices.

* We were sent the glow in the dark wall stickers to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, we truly love the stickers and highly recommend them.
