Scooby and the gang are back on our screens as you’ve never seen them before – in puppet form!
When Scooby and Shaggy order a triple-extra-large Scooby snack pizza they received one ingredient they weren’t expecting – a treasure map! The gang set out on a fantastic adventure trying to find pirate Gnarlybeard’s hidden treasure. Along the way they encounter a scary phantom Parrot who steals the map, the gang must track down the phantom Parrot, get the map back and find the treasure before Gnarlybeard! Along the way they encounter lots of challenges and have to try and find out what or who is behind all of the spooky goings on!
The puppets are really well designed, Maxx and I were able to easily identify which puppet represented which character from the offset. Maxx sat through the whole DVD and loved it, as did I. It was funny in parts, scary in parts according to Maxx and the story was enjoyable and easy to follow.
The DVD lasts approximately 43 minutes which I think is a great length of time for young children as it is long enough for there to be a good story but not too long that they get bored and restless.
If you’re looking for a great DVD for the whole family I would highly recommend Scooby-Doo! Adventures: The Mystery Map. It would make a great Halloween treat and is perfect for those rainy days we’re getting more of now. The DVD is available to buy from today the 21st of October 2013.
