Sorry for the lack of posts over the last week. I’m finding it hard to think straight at the moment.
Maxx has decided that he will start getting up around 4am although if we’re lucky its 5am. We have no idea why and have asked him if anything is wakening him up but he says no.
The first night this happened I heard him crying around 11am and went into his room to see what was wrong. I asked him what was wrong but he didn’t say anything so I lifted him back into bed, in the morning I asked him what was wrong but he couldn’t remember it happening. So we’re not sure if he was sleep walking.
So the night time routine is now:
7:30 Maxx goes to bed
11-12 Maxx wakes up crying
4-5 Maxx goes to the toilet (every morning this has been happening)
5+Maxx is awake and shouting on and off “Is it time to get up” until it is actually time to get up!
There are so many things I need to do but I cannot think straight to do any of them. I feel like I’m watching the days go by and I’m just unable to do the things I should be doing because I’m tired. I’m not even the one getting up with him at 5am either. I’m usually up around 7:30am but when Maxx wakes during the night it wakes everyone up and then when I hear him at 5 I can’t get back to sleep.
One thing that we thought would perhaps help is a sleep training clock that lets young children know when it is night time and when it is time to get up. Hopefully he will sleep well on Saturday as it’s his birthday on Sunday and he has a long fun filled day ahead 🙂
If anyone has any suggestions please let us know!
