Summer Essentials 2014 – Beauty Edition

What’s your favourite summer product for 2014? Do you have one…two or several favourites or are there just so many it’s impossible for you to choose?

I’ve put together a summer essential guide highlighting some top summer beauty products that are sure to have you looking and feeling great this summer.

Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum, 40ml £39

Jimmy Choo is a gorgeous feminine summer scent which is perfect for day or night. The fragrance is long lasting and a little goes a long way, there’s no need to keep topping it up throughout the day. It has a lovely woody base of Toffee and Indonesian patchouli, middle note of Tiger Orchid and top notes of Mandarin orange, Green notes and Pear. The first thing that comes through is the base notes, after the perfume has settled the gorgeous top notes start coming through. The bottle is elegant and will look great on any dressing table. The fragrance, design and longevity of the perfume definitely makes it a must buy for summer 2014.

Ted Baker Lewi Wash Bag £25

I am in love with this stunning Ted Baker wash bag. There are a lot of lovely make up/wash bags out there but this one screams summer and it’s a good size for holding all of your beauty essentials whether your’re using it at home, at a festival or on holiday. It has an interior pocket which lets you store smaller items safely without losing them inside the bag. The same design is also available in a smaller size if you’re looking for something smaller.

Cath Kidston Big  Spot Beach Bag £40

Cath Kidston is a well known and much loved brand, their patterned bags have summer written all over them. There are backpacks, satchels, holiday luggage and there’s a huge range of patterns available. The Big Spot Beach Bag is the ultimate beach accessory and will definitely make you stand out from the crowd this summer as well as letting you fit all of your beach essentials in one bag.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette £37

This make up palette has to be one of the most loved palettes, it’s extremely popular and quite rightly so. The palette includes 12 never before seen shades including, strange, dust, darkside and blackheart among others. You will be able to re-create any summer look with this little beauty.

Nails Inc Spring/Summer Collection £22

From bright to pastel to neutral, nails are a must paint this summer and with the spring/summer collection from Nails Inc there’s no excuse not to indulge your nails and brighten them up. Nails Inc offers a massive range of colours, the nail varnishes are high quality and are reasonably priced so they should be on everyone’s essential summer buys.

GHD Candy Collection Straighteners £110

Straighteners have been a life saver for me and there’s no better than GHD, believe me I have tried them all. GHD’s are the only hair straighteners that take less than an hour to straighten my thick unruly hair. The new Candy Collection comes in bright summer colours including, yellow, green and purple. Not only can you have poker straight hair you can curl your hair with GHD’s so if beach waves is what you’re after you can have that too.

Clinique Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 15 £22

The award winning Clinique Moisture Surge with SPF 15 is a great buy for summer. In summer I wear minimal make up, I usually grab a tinted moisturiser, mascara and lip gloss and that’s it. The Clinique Moisture Surge comes in a choice of 6 shades so there should be a colour to suit every skin tone, it has an added bonus of having SPF 15 protection too. A great choice if you’re looking for something light, you’ll be summer ready in seconds.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain £7.99 each

Revlon offers a huge range of beauty products but one product I’m loving more than anything else at the moment is their range of balm stains. The Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains come in 1o colours giving a shade for every occasion, the Rendevouz balm is perfect for the orange lip trend which is currently sweeping the fashion scene. The great thing about the lip stains is you can build up the colour until you get the look you’re after. The balm stains are sure to give you something to smile about.
