UncommonGoods Wishlist

Uncommongoods Wishlist - Lindy Loves

We all love something a little different, something you can’t find in every home. When I was recently introduced to the store UncommonGoods I realised it offered just that. There are hundreds of items you won’t find on the high street, something that’s a bit different and a good talking point when people visit.

I’m moving in the coming weeks and have been on the hunt for home decor items to buy that are a little different, after browsing the website I found a lot of items I loved so have put together a wishlist from UncommonGoods. It was hard narrowing it down, but the 8 items I have included are items I love and think would look great in my new home.

Some of the items can’t be shipped internationally but there are hundreds of items which can be delivered straight to your door. If you know someone in the USA you could have the items delivered there and then delivered on to you. This might not be practical for large furniture items but you can check to find out what furniture items can be shipped internationally. Where there’s a will there’s a way, and with the gorgeous items available on UncommonGoods you’ll want to find a way.

I wish I had found the website sooner, there are some lovely gifts for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. There’s also a Mother’s Day Gift range page which lists some lovely gift ideas that I know my mum would love. The good thing is, Father’s Day is still to come so I’m sure I can find some lovely items for my dad.

1. Coral Carved Hanging Planter

I’m moving house soon and don’t have a garden so this gorgeous Coral Hanging Planter is high on my wishlist. I love having a bit of greenery in the house, it brightens things up and brings a little bit of the outdoors inside. The jar is handmade and I love the colours used, they are cheerful and could easily fit into any home.

2. Make a Wish Measuring Spoon Set

I love baking. I’m not the best I have to admit, but every now and again I get the baking bug and find myself spending a lot of time in the kitchen. When I came across the Make a Wish Measuring Spoons I instantly loved them. The style, the colours and the lovely sentiments written on each spoon are as sweet as sugar. They’re practical too with four different measurements, 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp and 1 tbsp.

3. Elwood the Rainbow Unicorn Bank

Everyone needs a unicorn in their life! Unicorns have become really popular over the last couple of years. You can find them on bedding, t-shirts, phone cases and hundreds of other everyday items, and with Unicorns being Scotland’s national animal I should really have one. I love the cute design and the colours would add a touch of colour to a room without being too colourful. It might help me save too which is a bonus.

4. Stoneware TV Dinner Trays

A throwback to school dinners. I love the retro TV Dinner Trays, they’re quirky, fun and great for little and big kids! I added this to my wishlist for my nephew Maxx because I know it’s something he would like and it would make dinner a little more fun which is always nice.

5. Whatever Clock

Every home needs a clock and I love this monochrome quote clock. The colours would fit well into my kitchen with the colours I have in mind and it’s a little different to your average clock. It’s a bit of a running joke in my family that I’m always late so this clock would definitely be perfect for me.

6. Do Good Hanging Chair

Who doesn’t want a hanging chair to relax in? I certainly do! A good book and a drink.. that’s my kind of evening. I have to be honest and say I’m not sure if there will be enough space after all of my furniture is in to have the chair, but it doesn’t stop me dreaming.

7. Soapstone Pizza Pan with Copper Handle

Don’t you just love how gorgeous the Soapstone Pizza Pan is? I love the stone base, the copper handle and of course the fact it will cook the most delicious pizza – what’s not to love! I really like copper and will be having a few copper items dotted throughout my home, and although this wouldn’t be out of display it’s a lovely item and is something I really want to purchase.

8. DIY Cinema Lightbox

Cinema Lightboxes are hugely popular now and in my opinion, every home should have one. I haven’t bought one yet, I know I’m way behind the times but this is a finishing touch item and there’s so much to buy before I can add the finishing touches. This is high on my wishlist and something you will definitely see popping up when I move.

Do you like buying items that are unique and uncommon?
