Winter is here to stay in the UK with temperatures dropping over the past few days, there’s even snow in the forecast for the coming weeks. I don’t mind the frosty mornings, in fact, I love the crispness of a winters morning but it does mean wrapping up warm in a cosy winter jacket, scarf and gloves.
I have been looking to replace my parka jacket which I got around 3 years ago now as it has seen better days but on a recent shopping trip to town, I noticed that many of the shops (Primark I’m looking at you!) are already changing over stock for spring… I can’t remember this happening so quickly last year. Anyway, that meant I couldn’t find a winter jacket instore so I turned my attention online and to Esprit jackets for women because Esprit is a store I’m familiar with and like. As well as replacing my jacket I’m also in need of some new jumpers and a pair of warm shoes to see me through the next few months and beyond, so I thought I would put together a small wishlist to show you a few items I have my eye on. Hopefully, it might give you some inspiration if you’re also in the market for new winter clothes.
Traditionally, I’m a khaki parka kind of girl so this lovely parka jacket on Esprit caught my eye straight away. It looks stylish, cosy and practical with the lovely thick faux fur hood. It has plenty of pockets and the drawstring waist means it can be loose fitting or brought in at the waist.
White Nep Knit Slouchy Oversized Jumper
I saw this woolly knit jumper instore at New Look but unfortunately, they didn’t have it in my size so I plan to order it online and I can’t wait for it to arrive. I love wearing oversized jumpers during winter and this jumper looks so cosy, I really like the subtle polka dot style and think it would look great with ripped jeans and a pair of Chelsea boots.
Black suede faux fur pom pom boots
I really like the style of Ugg boots but there’s no denying they are an investment with many boots costing upwards of £150. I recently came across a stylish pair of black suede boots on River Island which look similar to Ugg boots but at a fraction of the price and even better, they’re in the sale!
I wouldn’t be updating my winter wardrobe if I didn’t include a new bag and as I tend to use the same bag day in & day out it is looking a little worse for wear and with the January sales on now is the perfect time to pick up a bargain. I found a couple of bags I really like and I actually have yet to decide between them so I have shared them both, they’re polar opposites but then I tend to chop and change my style a lot.
Jen Buckle Backpack
This buckle backpack bag is similar in style to my current favourite bag. I really like the backpack style bags, they have a lot of room and usually separate compartments which makes finding things easy, it has a front zip for easy to access items and the gold detailing is stylish and finishes the bag off perfectly.
Finley Reversible Faux Fur Tote Bag
This is a statement bag if ever I saw one! This gorgeous mustard faux fur tote bag is gorgeous and would definitely turn heads when out and about, it has short handles and a strap for carrying over your shoulder which I prefer, it’s even reversible – bonus! It’s currently in the sale for just £15 too which personally, I think is a bargain.
Grisport Lady Magma Lo
I have been on a journey to lose weight and improve my fitness over the last couple of months and so far it’s going really well. I started doing a lot of walking and have been enjoying sticking in my headphones and heading into the countryside to enjoy a long walk. So far my longest walk has been almost 10 miles and it was lovely to explore the area and enjoy some fresh air. I did notice my trainers were starting to hurt on the way back however and as a result, I have decided to invest in some shoes designed for walking. I have also been looking at the lovely country clothing from Country Innovation, especially the jackets which look perfect for heading outdoors during the colder months.
