Now that the weather is changing for the better, the days are becoming lighter and we can all finally start enjoying the outdoors again, you might be looking for things to do and places to visit.

With the Easter school holiday’s not far away and of course, the 6 week Summer holidays to come, what could be better than winning a 12 month National Trust family membership?

A National Trust family membership can be used for 2 adults and 2 children and gives you free access to over 500 special places. The UK is home to many beautiful areas which are perfect for family days out, pack a picnic, choose a location and enjoy day after day of exploring our beautiful country this year.

Using a National Trust membership you can visit castles, beautiful gardens and other historic locations throughout the UK, all with free entry when you have a membership card. I have listed 3 amazing National Trust sites below that I would love to visit. It will show you what types of destinations you can visit and also give you some inspiration if you’re looking for locations to visit.

  1. Bodiam Castle is a 14th-century moated castle, located in East Sussex. This stunning castle will be a hit with children and adults alike thanks to the beautiful surroundings, medieval splendour and exciting events. There’s even a tea room to enjoy a snack and drink after an exciting day reliving history.
  2. A secret walk at Attingham would be a lovely way to spend a Spring afternoon. Take a leisurely stroll through the Shropshire countryside where you can spot many types of wildlife, take in the sights of the Attingham estate and enjoy the natural surroundings the walk has to offer.
  3. Stourhead gardens is described as ‘a living work of art’ and it’s easy to see why. The landscape garden is world famous and has a beautiful lake walk, woodlands to explore and you can take a glimpse into the past by visiting the beautiful Stourhead House. With special doggy opening hours, you can even take the dog with you so this really would make a lovely family day out for everyone.
